Memories take us back to beautiful moments. Yesterday we were in one place, and today we are in another. Nothing lasts forever. Everything can change in a moment. One moment is enough to transport you from one place to another. It might even move you from one group of friends to another. Places change, and so do acquaintances and companions.
Every reality we experience can suddenly transform into a memory. We hold its place only in our hearts and minds. We can not relive it, but we never forget it. The specters of beautiful moments we lived pass before our eyes, and we smile and feel a deep longing.
Longing for the hearts we lived with and made the most beautiful memories with, for the success we achieved together, for the work and benefit we provided and wished we had done more in, for places that have become empty, empty of the noise of our voices that used to rise with joy, enthusiasm and activity, empty of the voices of our loved ones that were noisy.
