On this quiet desert night,
where silence covers not only the place… but also our hearts with slow weariness,
I look at the stars,
those distant eyes that seem to watch over my loneliness.
And with every passing breeze,
I hear your voice whispering my name…
as if it were an ancient secret lost between a harsh sky and a heart that carries nothing but longing.
I see you there… in a corner of my imagination,
raising your eyes to the same stars,
while my heart tries to reach you
along a path of dim light.
We deceive ourselves for a moment…
Believing that we are together,
And that we breathe silent freedom
Under a sky that knows nothing of our story.
I write to you,
and the distance between us is like a long desert of longing,
as if an invisible barrier prevents me from reaching you,
perhaps it is my fear that my voice will be lost,
or my shame at showing you this weakness.
You are my homeland…
and everything else is foreign.
And on this night,
when everything fell silent and only love remained awake,
I gathered my weary courage
to say it simply…
without embellishment, without promises:
I love you.
I love you as the stars love the sky,
and as the wind loves its open path.
I love you more than words can describe,
and I hope…
that one day we will be under one sky,
and call our hardship hope.
I love you.
