Waiting teaches patience, but loss teaches depth. Between them, becoming quietly begins. Waiting stretches time, forcing the heart to confront uncertainty without escape. It reveals what we cling to and what we fear losing. Loss, when it arrives, strips away illusions, leaving behind truth in its rawest form. Together, they reshape identity. We are no longer who we were before we waited, nor who we expected to be before we lost. In the space they create, becoming takes place—not loudly, but steadily. Pain turns into understanding, absence into reflection. The self grows not by gaining, but by enduring. Waiting slows us down; loss humbles us. And through both, we learn to see more clearly, to value more honestly, to live more intentionally. Becoming is not a destination reached after healing, but a process born within struggle. What we become is shaped not by ease, but by what we survive, accept, and choose to carry forward.
