Waiting did not end us, though it tried in quiet ways. It stretched itself into days that felt hollow and nights that carried too many thoughts. We learned how silence could speak, how absence could sit beside us like a familiar shadow. Time passed, not gently, but with weight, pressing on our hearts, testing what we believed love was meant to be. There were moments when hope felt thin, almost fragile, as if one breath could break it. Yet it remained.

We did not survive waiting by being strong all the time. We survived by remembering. By holding onto small details: a voice once heard, a promise once spoken, a future once imagined. Waiting taught us patience, but more than that, it taught us loyalty. Not to time, but to each other.

In the end, waiting did not erase us. It shaped us. It stripped away illusions and left behind something quieter, deeper, and more honest. We were not ended. We were becoming.
