In our world technology and smartphones have become another world next to our world, but virtual and people cannot sit with each other and the last they think of is the connection of the uterus and face-to-face meeting.
Before the invention of modern technology, there was a familiarity with each other, but now everyone is seen in one room; the truth is, among them are various barriers, where each one catches the mobile and places all its focus on it, and the other is listening to some words and ignorant of the rest.
As Einstein said, “I am afraid of the day when technology beats human interaction then the world will have a generation of fools.”
Websites have become like: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube … etc. of websites robbed the minds of humans; because today young people after they were doing from sleeping on the dining table and sharing family all family and other topics, he became browsing his phone: who put me like on the last post I shared, who commented on my last photo
It’s like our minds have been reprogrammed to talk via a message and send a voice message instead of calling or going to talk to people, as if the fator of communication with others has become a viral virus and has no cure for it.
Internet addiction with every home has become something that does not make sense and the time of acquiring paper books is a boat on extinction, everyone now relies entirely on research about Google engines and others in uploading any book that comes to his mind without having to go to the library and get out of his valuable light.
According to Socrates: The Internet is the largest means of mass memory loss in human history.
Every person narrows themselves into his room and turns away from meetings or making new and fruitful friends about sharing an idea or solving a problem that he faces, as they entered with a time gap away from everything and those around him affecting the negative on his health as staying awake all night and day does not congratulate one hour a rest for his body and mind lest he miss a new event or video.
One is oblivious to the use of that time that threatens him by browsing the development of his talent, even if most of his watch sits on him his health should not perish in staying up all night resulting from the destruction of brain cells and the rays that come out of the phone bring damage to the eye especially with excessive use.
There is no doubt that social media has a great benefit in bringing people to each other, especially if they are in another country and face hardship by travelling or outside; therefore the phone is a means of communication.
One has to balance the use of technology with presence in family and other meetings, by setting a specific time for use and avoiding it before bed.
One of the psychological problems caused by the use of technology and smartphones is loneliness or depression, where it also causes: ١. Loss of communication skills, ٢. Piracy, 3. Eye strain, ٤. Sleep disorders, ٥. Physical inactivity.
Impact of technology on children: Although technology helps children to acquire vast amounts of knowledge, through easy access to information, it has a lot of negative effects on them; such as social isolation, illness such as obesity, depression, and computer vision syndrome.
The use of technology by humans has increased dramatically in recent times, with technology being used in all areas of education, work, meetings, entertainment and other activities, although it is positive that excessive use of technology may adversely affect the human being.
The most important of these effects are: physical effects, which most doctors and technicians believe; that there is a close relationship between the unbalanced use of technology and the increased likelihood of exposure to a health problem, as follows:
[١] Vision problems: There is a syndrome known as visual impairment associated with frequent use of various electronic devices and for long periods (in English: Digital Eye Strain), and one of the most important associated symptoms is: eye strain, double or blurry vision, eye sensitivity to light.
[٢] Muscle and joint pain: It has been shown that spending a long time in front of the screen with a curved head and a bad sitting position may cause 10-31 mm protrusions to appear in the back of the head, according to a study published in the journal Scientific Reports in 2018, in addition to making muscle and joint pain more bad for those with arthritis. Hearing problems We are all vulnerable to hearing loss with age, but the amount of noise you are exposed to today from listening to loud music and other wrong practices; it may make you vulnerable to hearing loss while you are at the prime of age. Obesity and heart disease prolonged and continuous sitting increases your likelihood of being infected with a range of serious diseases, such as: obesity, diabetes, heart attacks, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and cancer. Insomnia prevents blue light emitted by all smart electronic devices secretion of melatonin hormone; it is a hormone that is very necessary to regulate your biological watch and get enough sleep during evening hours.
Psychological effects that add to the real danger of excessive use of technology, in the profound psychological effects that are concealed within us; they are difficult to deal with or eliminate in the long run, the most important of which are:
[1] Dispersion and memory problems Many people lose their lives or are seriously injured by traffic accidents caused by distraction and the use of mobile phones while driving, and the excessive use of technology causes long-term memory problems.
Lack of patience Most social media users suffer from the urgent need to have instantaneous pleasure; a Facebook post or Twitter tweet can satisfy their need.
