Yesterday did not vanish; it burned slowly, leaving ashes behind. In those ashes lie memories once alive—voices, promises, moments that warmed the heart before turning cold. The past is not gone, only transformed, reduced to remnants we carry without realizing their weight. Every step forward stirs the dust of what was, reminding us that loss leaves traces. Yet ashes are not only signs of destruction; they are proof that something once mattered enough to burn. From them rises reflection, and sometimes renewal. The heart learns to touch the past gently, knowing that clinging too tightly only darkens the present. Yesterday’s ashes cannot be rebuilt, but they can enrich the soil of tomorrow. Letting go does not mean forgetting; it means accepting what remains and choosing to grow from it. In honoring the ashes, we honor the fire that shaped us—and find the strength to move forward without fear.
