In a small village, there lived a boy named Samir. He wasn’t the strongest or the tallest among his friends, but everyone knew he was special—he had a sharp mind and a heart full of curiosity.

One day, the village faced a serious problem. A large boulder had fallen from the mountain and blocked the only stream that gave water to the villagers. The men of the village tried with ropes, sticks, and even oxen to move the rock, but nothing worked. Fear spread: “Without water, how will we survive?”

While the adults argued, Samir sat quietly by the stream, thinking. Then he smiled and said,

“Why don’t we dig a new path for the water to flow around the rock instead of moving it?”

The villagers looked at each other in surprise. They had been so focused on removing the stone that they forgot to think of other ways. Guided by Samir’s idea, everyone worked together to dig a small channel. Within hours, the water flowed freely again, and the village was saved.

The chief of the village placed a hand on Samir’s shoulder and said,

“Strength may move mountains, but wisdom shows us how to live with them.”

From that day on, the boy was no longer just “the smart child.” He became the village’s guide, proving that intelligence, when used with kindness, can change the destiny of many.
