Independence is the ability to think, decide, and act according to one’s own values without being controlled by others. It does not mean isolation, but rather having the confidence to stand alone when necessary. An independent person accepts responsibility for their choices and learns from mistakes instead of blaming others. Independence grows through experience, self-discipline, and courage. It allows individuals to build their identity and shape their future. In society, independence encourages creativity, leadership, and progress, because free minds are able to imagine new possibilities and work toward meaningful change.
