come to know myself
by stripping away my emotions
in a single line
or through negation
in a sentence of no consequence
Then I return to piece myself together
like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle
that regain their shape
after being scattered
and so I discover in the end
that I am not the complete picture
but rather the pieces that refuse to be completed
except by my own hand.
