Tons of worries weigh heavily on your heart. A sense of surrender takes hold of you, and you try with all your might to overcome it. Sometimes, due to your weakness, you feel as though you no longer have a way to deal with everything around you. You can no longer resist. You suffer alone from the many emotions that attack you, and you must confront them alone. How difficult it is to be your only army against countless armies of sorrow!
You look around and find no one but yourself, and you look ahead and find nothing but the pain and sorrow that await you. You can’t even see a speck of light amidst the darkness of life. It’s as if you’ve lost your way, alone and wandering, and unable to return. So, O God, light our way. O God, a path on which we will not go astray or suffer.
