I write to you, immersed in my darkness.
The letters dance before my eyes, like ghosts haunting their killer.
I want to confess, but the words overwhelm me and betray me.
I love you… What a word, stuck like embers in my throat, refusing to be uttered.
I try to hide it in the lines of my paper, but it jumps out in every word.
I throw away the papers, I put away the poems, I try to forget, but no… it continues to haunt me.
It is here; in every step, in every heartbeat, in every heart… and you.
I cannot live without you; you are the air I breathe, you are the life I desire, and your memory is my very self.
I love you, a word I cannot write, but I repeat it inside myself; it is my only secret, my only torment.
