Supernaturalism plays an important role in Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. The novel suggests that the connection between Heathcliff and Catherine continues even after death. Catherine’s ghost is said to appear at the window of Wuthering Heights, creating a mysterious and eerie atmosphere. Heathcliff strongly believes that Catherine’s spirit is still near him, which shows how love and obsession go beyond the natural world. These supernatural elements reflect the emotional intensity of the characters and the dark, haunting mood of the story. They also blur the line between reality and imagination.
